bute fitting
« on: April 01, 2014, 07:46:02 AM »
Good morning all, yesterday i removed this bute fitting from under a house, from what i can tell the pipe was not fully pushed into the fitting and had been leaking for 8 years! it has corroded the crimp ring just enough to allow it to crack and let the pipe go.
first time i have ever seen this happen!  ::)
this was on town water. ???

I believe in doing a job once and right. !

If you haven't replaced your pipe from very long time then your pipe might need a replacement.
