Soft soldering copper pipe
« on: May 04, 2013, 02:20:30 PM »
Does anyone know if there is a reason why all copper pipes are brazed here and none are soldered? I know soldering copper joints is used in the uk and europe and i just wondered if there was any reason why the method is not used here.

i would be interested to know this also

maybe it has something to do with when 50/50 was banned? was it easier to just switch to a braze join than import the lead free solder filler?
