I will pay my gas. $100 or whatever it is, (I've been a limited certificate holder for 27 years,registered plumber same amount of time), there is nothing in my field which is domestic gas servicing and maintenance that I don't know. I've forgotten more about gas than most 'certifying gasfitters' will ever know.
I'm a domestic maintenance plumber and gas fitter, I.e tap washers n shit..
I'll be goddamned if I'm paying those fools money.

I'm 42 , my knees are f****ed, I'm in agony when I kneel to do general plumbing chores, my intention is to go into consultancy and /or plumbing design. I'm currently a contract manager who can't give up the tools, but can't stand to be n the office for more than 7 minutes at a time.

I'll fight the fight for another 3 years. I'll be 45, my knees will be truly f****ed by then, 30 years in the trade.

I made the shift to plumbing consultant, I'm called a Hydraulic Engineer now (amongst other things) ; , 4 1/2 years ago and haven't looked back.
