Master Plumbers representative was heard to say at a recent meeting that he didn’t care if people left the industry as it just left more work for him.



This is the fundamental problem, those in a position of power benefit from the decline of the business opposition............

Like the goon (MP association president), son in law of an ex Board member, who phoned Wal and threatened him to "watch what horses he backed", after Wal helped me with my kangaroo court. He could have done it in person the night before.

It shows the attitude of these people, all this bullshit is good for business for them......the more of us that say this ain't worth it....is just money in their pockets.

And now they lead the Board.....

I quite often heard that line said by my old boss about if there's a shortage of tradesman he'll make more money and yes he was part the same organization, all there after is lining there pockets and sod the consequences, why do you think they used to make the exams as hard as possible.

Yep Watchdog there is a lot of truth in what you say but there are also a lot of grass roots members of Master Plumbers who are not happy as well and they have been letting their organisation know.

The Federation has always been of the opinion that most in the industry are heading in the same direction and there will be common ground, even with the Board but because of historical positions in the industry other organisations don't want to meet with the Federation. It would seem they feel threatened by the Federation.

I look at the Members of the Federation who are also Master Plumbers members. They have the chosen to stay with Master Plumbers for the branding or whatever but have also chosen the Federation to help make improvement. These people are looking further than who has more members, or who has the most influence, or who can make the most money etc.

The industry is so small that personalities come into the fray and I know that as the Chairman of the Federation I'm disliked because of the tactics used, because the Federation holds people accountable and I also know a lot of false information is spread about me and the Federation in an attempt to make us look bad.

Look at it this way would it be any different if we had a different chairperson or a different organisation, no it wouldn't be because the people we are holding accountable just think they are better than everyone else and don't like being proven wrong. They are the ones who are responsible for the demise of the industry not the groups trying to get change.
