Fellow Practitioner Issue 310 Dated 15 July 2016

Rebellion is when you stand up and say, “We know what you want us to be but we are going to show you what we need to be”. There are a number of threats to our industry including unauthorised people, and people with their own agendas, but the biggest threat is from people wearing suits and ties trying to dictate their will upon us to make their statistics looks good. Enough is enough.

The question I would like answered is ........

How can a trained, time served guy (or Girl) sit all the exams, do the hard yaka, study, do the block courses.....not be deemed competent to work?....buy the people who had a hand in training them and setting the exams....surely if you PASS.....your competent.....FFS.....

But a certain few can get awarded their full qualifications with no formal training, one of them actually having a very good body of evidence pointing to them for being responsible or at the very least heavily involved in nearly killing someone in an explosion.....and still uplift a license.

Or the other guy signing blank certs 570 of them with 90% non compliant with 16 potentially lethal, uplift a license the year after.

Because it is run like a gentleman's club, that lacks gentlemen....the guys coming out of their time are seen as potential opposition....fully qualified ex pats told to come here because "your in demand" then busted down to apprentice level, while these arsehole with an agenda award their pals full tickets while risking the NZ public's safety.

Now here is your problem, those of us who can "survive" by providing a knowledgeable, professional and quality service will do and aren't effected by new comers....

But dodgy incompetent bullies on the other hand NEED to hold other people back, it is a sign of their inherent weakness, the only way they can survive is by being backroom bullies and slanting the pitch in their favour........

Because on an even playing field, with a fair ref and an unbiased rule book.... THEY WOULD MOST DEFINITLEY LOOSE, and they know it.

Who do you want to lead you, who do you want to follow?.....sorry I don't personally follow muppets and goons.....how about you...and what does your answer say about you?

These idiots are actually bad for business (not to mention the public's perception of OUR industry).....while they fill their pockets.....and the politicians that empower them, and/or sit on their hands are worse, much worse.

These muppets are ruining our industry.......the last ten years have been a very bad joke......and we are to blame for following them.

.

You can't choose who you are.....but you are the sum of your choices.......
