Some facts and figures you may not know.  Does the Plumbers Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board have a role to help the industry move forward?

hi guys, a very well worded fellow Practitioner today, so good to note that the federation is being included in discussions about our industry.
I have taken some of Wal,s well written paragraphs and added in some points that express my opinion i hope it makes sense to others as it dose to me, cheers

Communication between the Board and Federation has been good, but with the industry as a whole it is still seems sometimes strained. A lot of practitioners appear to still see (the Board as a dictatorship) rules come in without practitioners knowledge so what else can it be?  with (undue influence by Master Plumbers), personally I have nothing against the Master Plumbers association but it is just that an organization that practitioners can become a member of, it is not the industry standard that it thinks it is and should not be represented in the boards makeup, any member ed organization makes rules to suit itself and its members not all who are in its industry.
The Federation believes the Board has reached a stage in the development of the regulation of the industry that it needs to take on a supplementary leadership role. That role would include encouraging and helping the industry take responsibility for itself and to help force other organizations (Master Plumbers) to do what the industry needs not feed their self interests.
