I asked her personally for help and was firstly ignored, then after asking again fobbed off, then when I told all the associations could only come back with, where did you get this email list from, I was an ex president of my association.

Even after being on TV no one from my association has contacted me or anyone from the head office, I have had a few from members from around the country, off their own backs and I commend them for their support and guts and will protect their privacy.

WE NEED A PUBLIC INQUIREY TO CLEAN HOUSE AND SHOW THESE PEOPLE THAT OUR TRADE IS NOT UP FOR SALE NOR OUR ETHICS. IF THE TRADE LOOSES CREDABILITY BECAUSE OF THESE PEOPLE THEN WE ALL LOOSE, WHILE THEY LINE THEIR POCKETS.

NOTHING SHORT OF A PUBLIC INQUIREY AND/OR ROYAL COMMISION, IF YOU GOT NOTHING TO HIDE LETS CLEAR OUR NAMES, IF YOU DO HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE THEN YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE YOUR POSITION OF TRUST AND AUTHOURITY. >:(

Hi Badger
I am a member of Master Plumbers and I am sorry that the head office did not offer any sort of help to you or support.  I know that they do not offer legal representation etc  as a member benefit, but it would have been good to know that they might have steered you in the direction of the lawyer etc familiar with this sort of issue - that said I don't think you would have got anyone even half as good as Wal Gordon.  What you need at times like this is moral support more than ever, and practical support - like work references, a bit of assistance for your family etc- and this is the exact sort of thing I would hope your association would bring to you.  We haven't had a member of our association (that I know of) it this postion, but I know we have had members with health and personal issues and the guys have rallied around with offers of lawn mowing, gardening, looking after customers and helping out in the business till the guy is on his feet again.  You know practical support.  It seems you have put yourself forward (as President of an association) and it is a great shame that your association did not come to your support.  I know Ms Gavriel is overseas for about three weeks - perhaps when she comes back she may contact you.  I would hope so... but at the same time I won't hold my breath.
Have you learned lessons only of those who admired you, and were tender with you, and stood aside for you?  Have you not learned great lessons from those who braced themselves against you, and disputed the passage with you?  (Walt Whitman 1819-1891)  American Poet

A personal opinion is not defamation. It is only when something is published that it becomes defamation. Posting on a forum doesn't count especially as they can't prove who wrote it given none of us are named and it can't be proven who was on the computer at the time.
