Just a bit of an update after Flip Flop Williamsons statement last night (complied by a group of malcontents).

Hi,Guys,Comparing `Airline Pilots/Architects` to plumbers/gasfitters/Drainlayers, as an argument to enforce the disciplinary/offence fee is not a fair comparison, I don`t know of any ` Airline Pilots/Architects` that are working for the minimum wage unlike some workers in the plumbing industry such as :- apprentices/drainage workers, Ruth Dyson did a great job of defending the federations actions of complaining about what is not in the act, but she needs to spell out the exact costs verses the  remuneration  of these examples that minister Williamson is using compared to our trade rates, also we haven’t touched on up-skilling costs yet. I don`t think we are ever going to get any national member on board or Banks or Dunn so if it is left to parliament to sort it, the outcome in our favour looks doubtful , where too from here, cheers

I dunno, but Maurice looked a bit rattled last night on the Parliament channel.....the part where he mixed up the names of the federation and master plumbers was priceless.

With enough numbers, backed with a strong argument....they got no chance.

I thought he looked rattled too - in fact he some of the things he said were just bizzare.  What is bloody scary though is how little he appears to actually know about the sector he is responsible for.  He didn't know the industry groups names properly, he slung shit at the "small group" of malcontents aka The Federation - he ranted and raved and missed the points completely.  Ruth Dyson on the other hand was brilliant, and has grasped the total situation.  At the Select Committee hearings she asked insightful questions of the submitters and showed respect to all - it is such a shame that this women is not the Minister in charge of our sector.  I have a feeling that she would do a much better job.  Williamson is pissed that things are not easily going his way.  He isn't interested in seeing fences mended, and he sure as hell doesn't want to admit he, and the Board have f++ked it all up and are now having to pay.

It is going to be very interesting to see where this ends up.  I think we all need to do our bit by contacting our MP's and making some noise.

I phoned the Nelson Pizza Hut to ask if it had exploded, ironically the only pizza cooking related explosion he knew of was the chip shop, where ironically the pizza oven cert is the one that lacks any gas leak test results and still goes un-resolved after ironically spending $200 000.00 of DISAPLINARY fee's' very ironic.....

I think every plumber gas fitter and drainlayer needs to be contacted to see where they stand. Federation or MP, sick of hearing that this is a group of 5 people or whatever. Mocking how you become a member, hes such a pig. Look at the state of him.  Apprentices, exemption license holders, everyone. See where they stand then shove the results up flip flops fat ass.

The board definately need a way to resolve this , as is well documented , the cost to prosecute any individual who is not licenced is hugely expensive , this sector cannot continue to fund such a system , as we licenced people have to pay, our rates will need to increase which in turn will only compound the problem as it will become more attractive for consumers to use unlicenced people as they will be cheaper , the answer may be to prosecute also the consumer as well , and make sure it is in the media so the message goes out to the general public . One case I am alluding to is the Paraparumu one where the consumer knowingly employed a non qualified person to carry out plumbing work and then complained to the board who in turn did prosecute that person but should have also prosecuted the homeowners , this would have been a great opportunity to send a clear message to the public , alas they did not. I have sent an email to my local National representative outlining the fact Mr Williamson may be digging himself and the National party a hole that they may regret . It is going to be interesting to use Williamson quote (where this is going to land )

Hi guys/ Jax says:
(It is going to be very interesting to see where this ends up.  I think we all need to do our bit by contacting our MP's and making some noise)
…yes guys if this bill goes through I reckon prominent named guys on this site will be targeted. A lot of writers on this site previously seem to have faded away! Are you still there? Can we gauge how many of us are contacting ministers, if they get enough flack they will surely want to know the problems rather than just go with the party vote, this is a note I received from Tariana Turia:

(We have received your email and I will make sure our caucus gives it serious consideration. Thank you for emailing us.  I am not sure whether it is our vote that counts. You should make sure you email Peter Dunne and John Banks because if they vote for, it will pass without our votes.
Na Tariana.)
If anyone is in Banks/Dunne electorate then a visit to outline the problems may help, cheers

Everyone and I mean NZ as a whole, needs to ask them selves.....

what sort of democracy do we live in..... if we are with merit and ample evidence, concerned about the very real situation of being singled out for persecution for airing our thoughts for discussion with fellow tradesman, airing thoughts about the potential cronyism and corruption so we can fix it.....by those in power, we are not in North Korea or Syria.

Who has the power, in a fair and equal society, that these people pontificate about and can't publically say contrary or otherwise, to act and do this......with the backing of the law!!!!!

One thing I am certain of is they should think long and hard before they go me again, real hard.

Dunne looks like he has sold his soul for his Ministers job.  At this stage he is going to support the Bill - that is why it is critical that numbers of plumbers, gasfitters and drainlayers contact his electorate office.  "Ironic" to use a word of Badger's because his party stands for something pretty similar to the Federation - fairness, equality etc etc.  But a Ministerial position pays a lot - and I have no doubt National will be calling in all the favours to ensure this Bill passes.

I have contacted all the MP's - and then paid particular attention to my electorate MP and the one's that hold the balance of power i.e. the Maori MP's and Peter Dunne.

I say bring it on!

Read the tirade........

Mr Williamson claims

There was an explosion in the Pizza Hut in Nelson that nearly killed people. It was appalling work, and I am hoping the Labour Opposition is in favour of public safety and does not want practitioners like that to get away scot-free.

He has certainly made a fool of himself , it is quite clear that pgdb have authority to go after anyone they like, see regulations 122/123/125(2006 act) how they fund this, that is the problem ,.
Williamson is for want of a more blunt word misleading the public on this , the best advice I have ever been given is when you cockup something admit immediately , dont keep trying to fix it by denial and attack and dig yourself a hole you cant get out of .

It is why we need a fresh start, if you can't get it right after ten years and you are still to this very day making a pigs ear of it....then wipe the slate clean.

I just think if you do a good job with good intentions with in the rule book in good faith.....you should be left alone to get on with it and not looking over your shoulder for the big bad wolf.

Their way doesn't lend its self to progress....its an entrenchment of archaic ineptitude and incompetence, covered up with lies. How will that make for a good industry, ever.
