PGD Act Review
« on: May 15, 2015, 10:31:04 AM »
Thanks to the large numbers of Federation members who submitted their views and opinions.

The collective views have been collated in a report and submitted to the Ministry if Business Innovation and Employment.

The submission is attached.

Regards

Wal

Well they asked for feed back, an amazing job and one hell of a report written there. Makes me proud to be a Fed member.

Now is the test.... to see how big they want their lump under their carpet. Or is it all bullshit so they can say they asked....

I would like to say a huge thank you to the author, it would have taken a lot of time and thought and research.
You can't choose who you are.....but you are the sum of your choices.......

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and employment should just change the letterhead and signature block and speed the process up by a couple of years.

Well they asked for submissions and you have handed them a cracker, you would think that it would be hard to ignore. But I fear there will be other forces in play and they don't have to listen do they? Also we have no one on the inside and the board will have a major influence so if they ignore it please don't lose heart as without you we would have no voice at all

very comprehensive submission , and an excellent summary of the last 10 years or more , Wal do you have any objection  to this submission being forwarded to other parties ,a lot of the issues I have been discussing with other people is covered by your submission and it would be very clear to them if they read this . I think this submission should be published for the public to read , well done guys

I am starting to hear the builders complaining about having to attend so called upskill events , they dont realise what they are in for yet , but soon will .

Hi Peasea

Feel free to distribute the submission to anyone. If we can prevent others going through the same as us the its got to be good.

Perhaps it is an idea to pass this around ALL the trades, to show that when it goes wrong....it can go "this" wrong!

And to fix it......you can expect all the help we have had......which isn't much....if any from those in authority with the power to fix this.

Wal has done more than all the ministers, the master plumbers and Board members added together to help this industry, this report is like a bible of "what not to do as a Board".

Send it the media too, sunlight is the best disinfectant, especially in this climate of excessive building costs and housing shortage.
