Flue Gas Analysis
« on: June 15, 2012, 08:43:32 PM »
Hey guys, does anyone have a flue gas analyzer that I could borrow/hire/buy or alternatively know a cheap supplier?

got a boiler to install that requires calibration via co2 flue gas %

whatever happened to good old fashioned gas rates?

must be to suit LPG

There are a few people that have them but they are a technical piece of equipment to use. I used to use one 5 times a day when doing gas boiler servicing overseas as all gas boilers in holland and germany are adjusted and regulated through the combustion gases. I looked at buying one here years ago but couldnt justify the cost against the limited use.
You would be best to talk to one of the commercial mechanical contractors in the area they will proberbly have one or could at least point you in the right direction

thanks for the heads up o2b007 - managed to get onto one through local training institute, they have been pretty good to me

found a cheap (as in cheaper than any in this country) supplier in UK if you are interested in knowing, I think I will get one in for future installs and servicing - you are right though - they do see limited use for what they cost

cheers, Int
