Technical Services Officer
As the result of an internal promotion, the Board is seeking to appoint a Technical Services Officer to assist with its service delivery to stakeholders. This is a full-time permanent position based in Wellington.
This role is responsible for assisting the team leader with the various technical functions that the Board is involved in. These include competence and compliance assessments, investigations, CPD course quality assurance and providing technical input to various Board processes.
The ideal candidate for this position will be registered in two or more of the trades, one of which will be as a Certifying Drainlayer. In addition, we are looking for a person who:
•   has an understanding of working in a regulatory environment;
•   has current knowledge of the compliance requirements that relate to the trades;
•   has an interest or experience in competence assessment and technical investigation work;
•   has good written and verbal communication skills;
•   has excellent people skills; and
•   is comfortable using Microsoft office software applications.
