Can someone help me out with these Q's please?
« on: May 07, 2010, 07:09:47 PM »
From the 06 Common paper.... If an employee is seriously injured at work and is subsequently unable to work for a period in excess of 7 days, list FOUR things that the employer should do?

Give 5 notions that should be recorded on company records when testing pipework prior to linings going on?

The cause and 2 methods of protection for work hardening? (do they mean annealing?)

and sorry....

Six Causes of pressure lost that should be considered when designing a gas or water supply system?
I got Total length of pipework..
Sudden Change of direction..
Friction between water or gas and internal wall of pipe..
Simultaneous operation of appliances or fixtures(diversity)...
Total head required to service...
Density changes due to fluctuating tempertures...

You think that's Ok?

Thanks for yr help..

1. provide or arrange transport to take the employee home or to hospital, and pay the costs which you can claim later from ACC.
2. Pay the employee 80% of his or her normal earnings for that day and the next 6 days.
3. Lodge your claim with ACC for hospital or transport costs you have paid, together with all other necessary information.
4. Tell your employee to lodge a claim if he or she will be off work for more than 1 week because compensation is not automatic.

1. The date and time of the test.
2. How long the test was for.
3. The test method used.
4. The pressure of the test.
5. Whether the pipework passes or fails the test.

1. Pipes that are subject to continual stress or vibration (pump connections)
2. Use flexible connections, suitable pipe material.

hey,

also for the pressure loss one i got restrictions in the line such as isolation valves, regulators etc as there internal diameter is usually smaller than the pipes.

Cheers
