How many people with a 180 litre tank?
« on: February 02, 2016, 03:29:51 PM »
Hello all,

Looking for some expert advice. I have 4 tennants in a buy to let property. We have a Rheem 180 litre electric boiler. The tennants want to move another 5 people in. I am worried about the boiler holding out. Would our tank hold out???

Thanks in advance.

In order to answer your question we need to know the age of your present cylinder. One thing I can say is that there wont be enough hot water for 9 with 180 litres. Why on earth would you allow them to have that many people there while they are tenants? "Most" landlords have a specific number written into their agreement, some go as far as naming them. This minimises wear and tear as well as damage.
