mains pressure cylinder leaking

I have a mains pressure cylinder that's started leaking out the overflow pipe outside ,what can it be{its stated to really pour out}

Hi Rio, sounds like your cylinder is overheating. Possibly failed valve or thermostat. I recommend getting a plumber in. You will also find plenty of info by following this link >> http://www.plumbers.co.nz/forum/q-and-a-hot-water-cylinders/44/.

yea i thought that too but the water coming out of the overflow is cold so im thinking maybe not the thermostat but maybe the cold water expansion valve ,i wont do the work myseld just want toknow the costs of the job and to know the costs need to know which valve to replace

Hi Rio, I think that the plumbing you done inside your house is not good because the same problem was also faced by my friend. He has to do everything again. I suggest you that change the inline pipes and fit some new ones. Hope, this will solve your problems.
