Hi guys

I have low hot water pressure. 

The cylinder is open vented and is fed through a 25mm copper pipe from a header tank in the ceiling.

I intend to increase the hot water pressure by taking a mains pressure feed through a 7.6 Kpa pressure reducing valve into the cylinder (to allow the full height of the open vent pipe to be utilised). Stop me now if I am wrong in this.

Intend to do this by T-ing off from the mains feed into the ceiling header tank and routing this through the existing 25mm pipe from there to the cylinder (obviously installing the feed valve on the cylinder end of this pipe).

Is it OK to run main pressure through this 25mm pipe which was installed to take low pressure, and are there any other problems with this plan. OK to use bushes on either side of the feed valve to mate it up with the 25mm pipe?
