What a bunch of dufuses the MP assoiation is....How the hell would they know what others are thinking they dont represent traniee plumbers or licenced plumbers which is a large part of the sector and they only represent a certin amount of certifying plumbers of which many more dont belong to the MP's...So how the hell would they know what the majority of us are thinking or feeling....AND those two complaints were the repersentation of a vast many traniee/licenced/and certifying plumbers out there who didnt know how to go about taking action to change this crap system we have now!...If most practionisers as the MP's say have a diffrent view then why the heck does the federation have some 700 odd members?...Who for the better part agree with the views and stance that the federation has taken.
Up skilling is a crok...i was just on the phone today to a grundfos tech troubleshooting a problem with there pump...I AM CONSTANTLY UPSKILLING its part of my job!...I dont need some fool trying to teach me how to work safe in the sun!...hehehe
At tech it was drilled into us that half the job is about being able to refrence stuff like how to know what part of the codes to refrence when we hit a certin problem etc etc...there is no one out there i know that can recite the codes word for word!...
The realerty is that cpd or up skilling is not needed BECAUSE over a whole life time of plumbing you still wont be able to know everything in and with the plumbing world, but because of the very nature of the job you are forced to learn as you need anyway!...Being able to refrence stuff when you need it is a most important skill...
Anyways Keep up the good work PGDB Federation...all these people are showing by trying to put you down is there fear!...If they had nothing to fear they would say nothing but because you the federation have stood tall for the common apprentise and common licenced plumber and certifying plumbers alike these people DO have something to fear...Look out MP,s and PGDB theres a new kid on the block and it looks like hes here to stay!
