« on: May 03, 2013, 03:16:51 PM »
Wow just reading through the new plumbers journal volume 65...The Plumbers, Gasfitters and drainlayers board IS NOT INVESTIGATING THE INCIDENT AS NO COMPLAINT HAS BEEN LAYED WITH THE BOARD...fk me i thought these pri**s were there to protect the HEALTH AND SAFETY of the public and this poor chap was put into a induced coma because of the severity of his injuries due to neglient actions of the incompentant person who OMG capped off a wet back heating coil!!! this is basic plumbing 101 and these fktards at the board refuse to investigate simply because no complaint has been layed by the coustomer(which is the same as someong comitting GBH on someone and the police not acting cus no complaint was made!!!) for heavens sake this guy was hosplitlised due to the extent of his injuries...and these fools at the board have refused to investigate???????...So all this crap going on about there only there to protect the health and safety of the public and this happnes and they dont take action????....this to me stinks of something happening behind peoples backs when we have such a serrious incident as this (for christ sake this guy and his wife or kids could have been killed)..and they just sit there and do jack sh*t...typical actions of empty minded inderviduals!

In February there was  a gas explosion in Ruakaka where a woman died. There has been nothing in the paper since. I wonder if they are investigating this or perhaps not as any possible complainant/witness is deceased.

Mate some people were responsible for a building that took 115 people, and according to Maurice....they can't even kick them out of IPENZ......totally disgusting....

The thing is....to not go after people who are responsible but are in the clique.....well it just sends a message to those who are "connected" ....to be even less conscientious and will ultimately make them worse and care less......so which way are we heading......

maybe a individual or perhaps some organisation that cared for the health and saftey of the public could lodge a complaint?, that is when they get off from playing with charities..

Cases like these prove to me that really the 'health and safety of the public' stance the board has taken, really is, "The lie of the Century." And it's working.

If they cared as much as they claim to in all there 'info breif's', the f****in stickers they keep sending me and other BS publications they have, they would immediately fly in a special crack division of investigators. In remote areas "The Board" could even deploy these 'top men' in flight, from a specially modified aircraft designed just for the PGDB. They could launch a glider from a circling aircraft and they could land in a nearby paddock to start their investigative process rapidly to ensure the offending trades person is apprehended, detained and tools confiscated to be used as evidence..... " It is alleged the offending began when Mr ***** picked up ITEM A (ridgid pipe wrench 12") to disconnect galvanised gas pipework......ITEM A will now be shown to the court"....etc

For the amount of $$$ we are paying thats what we could probably afford.....although I shouldnt give them anymore ideas.

Instead they f**** around at "The Terrace" like no body's business looking for more efficient ways to "hang more plumbers at once" through CPD and competence audits etc.

If they audit me, I will stand their and reply "Audit This" and deliver a knockout blow to the head of any fool that wants to come onto my property to take the piss with a fake audit designed to see me fail.

Also,If they get re-instated as a charity I intend to claim back 1/3 of my annual payments to "The Board" as I will be clearly donating to a charity. We could all do it and therefore claim money back from the government so in turn they will bear one third of the cost of protecting public health and safety. Not industry. If they have a problem with it then they can stop being a charity.

I wouldn't have thought that no complaint would be justification.  Believe me if they really want to investigate then they get ESS to lay a complaint.  This doesn't make sense.

As to the gas explosion in February and not hearing anything - that doesn't mean things aren't happening.  The Board don't publicise investigations until they have an outcome - and they aren't speedy.  I once got send a file from the Board in error that was about an investigation that had been ongoing for seven years!!  That was in the Colleen Singleton day's and the mail got mixed up with something that should have come to us, but seven years!!  The lawyer of the guy being prosecuted said some of the witnesses were dead, and the others had memory lapses, and that no one could accurately remember events of seven years ago.   So February? Try back in 2020 and see if something has happened then.

After reading the article today, I can't believe that no-one has encouraged the homeowner to complain. Would the plumbers concerned have already paid for the damage? His insurer would be unlikely to pay out unless he was proven to be at fault. Why haven't master Plumbers taken this up with the Board? It's wrong on so many levels that no-one is to be held liable. Smacks of a cover up.
