  • Im new @ Plumbers NZ!
Hi guys had a conversation with one of our reps today, she said theyve had lots of enquires from guys in wellington for opso regs for hobs WTF ?? read the new code ( OK skimmed its bloody thick especially if you only printed it out on one side like i did !!) & there is mention of a formular to work out the area in which you can install a hob with a breather vent ( i worked on a 1mm dia breather, which is approx hob regulator size ) & my calculations , if you use absolute pressure came to round about 80m ( bit bigger than the cupboard volume id say !!) so is everyone now supposed to install opso regs, to get past this regulation??? suppose the kitchen makers will have to make a cupboard just for housing the regulator< yeah right!!Another thing, has anyone tried to register with the ESS to get a login ?? they dont seem to be rushing to get things up & running, you just know its going to be a complete balls up, & the pgdb will be laughing their gucci loafers off. hopefully ill be proved wrong, but if history is owt to go on......... ::)
